David Reynders

David Reynders is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in various leadership roles across the fintech and technology sectors. Currently serving as the CTO of Merchant Capital South Africa since 2015, David emphasizes innovation, flexibility, and efficiency. Previous roles include Executive at SureSwipe, where strategic options were framed, and technology matured, as well as COO, with responsibilities encompassing service delivery and supplier partnerships. As Managing Director at Pocit, David led the development of a mobile payments platform, achieving significant early adoption and winning the NSTF award for Innovation. Earlier career highlights include pivotal roles in business development and product management at healthbridge, contributing to the creation of South Africa's first non-bank card acquiring solution. David holds a Master of Science in Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand.
