Dean Ramsamooj

Mr. Ramsamooj assists in operating the Capital Markets group and Merchants Asset Management, a registered investment advisor and a subsidiary of Merchants Bancorp. As part of the Capital Markets team, he’s responsible for executing initiatives around expanding the bank’s product suite and balance sheet management primarily through private equity-financed debt funds and capital market executed securitizations. Mr. Ramsamooj has over 15 years of experience in CRE lending and Structured Products. Prior to joining Merchants in March 2021, he was head of the Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities group at a $23 billion fixed-income investment advisor. While there he was responsible for the portfolio management and trading of CMBS and agency multifamily securities while also serving as a credit committee member in the commercial real estate whole-loan division. Mr. Ramsamooj is a graduate of Indiana University where he holds a bachelor’s degree and MBA in finance from the Kelley School of Business.
