Tom Wimsett

Chairman & Managing Partner at Merchant's PACT

Tom Wimsett is currently the Chairman & Managing Partner at Merchant's PACT. Prior to this, they served as the Executive Chairman at ControlScan from December 2014 to December 2020.

Wimsett has an extensive background in the payments industry. Tom was the Founder, Chairman and CEO of Iron Triangle Payment Systems from February 2003 to November 2010. Under their leadership, the company grew to over 240,000 merchants and became one of the largest merchant providers in the U.S. In 2010, Iron Triangle Payment Systems was acquired by Vantiv for over $620 million.

From 1983 to 2002, Wimsett served as President & CEO of National Processing Inc. During their tenure, National Processing Inc. became a NYSE listed company and processed approximately 20% of all MasterCard and Visa transactions in the U.S. The company employed over 11,000 employees in 23 operating centers around the world. In 2004, National Processing Inc. was acquired by Bank of America for $1.4 billion.

Tom Wimsett's educational career began with him obtaining their BSBA in Accounting from the University of Louisville. Tom then continued their education by pursuing graduate studies in business at the University of Texas at El Paso.
