Alejandro López Hernández

Alejandro López Hernández is a skilled biology technical specialist currently serving as the WE Diagnostic Coordinator at Merck Life Science since November 2022, and previously held the position of Biology Technical Service Specialist at Merck Group since November 2021. With a comprehensive background in cancer research, Alejandro worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia focusing on the characterization of breast cancer oncogenes and managing national research projects. Prior to this, Alejandro gained experience as a PhD researcher at the University Institute of Oncology of Asturias and completed a PhD program in Biomedicine and Cancer Research at Universidad de Oviedo. Alejandro also has experience as a visiting PhD student at the Cancer Research UK Beatson Institute and holds a Master of Science in Biological and Biomedical Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Universidad de Oviedo.
