Alison Massey

Alison Massey is a seasoned finance professional currently serving as the CFO for the UK and Ireland at Merck Group since February 2023. With extensive experience in tax and financial management within the pharmaceutical sector, Alison previously held the role of Head of Tax for the UK and Ireland at Merck Serono Limited from October 2010 to February 2023. During this tenure, responsibilities included overseeing corporation tax compliance, expatriate tax, pensions accounting, and business tax project work. Prior to these roles, Alison worked as a Financial Controller at Merck Services UK Limited, a Senior Auditor at East Coast Audit Consortium, and in various positions at Smith & Nephew, Northern Foods plc, and Price Waterhouse Chartered Accountants. Alison holds a BA Hons in Business Studies and German from the University of Hull, completed in 1987.
