Abhishek Sahasrabudhe is a Senior Scientist at Merck since August 2023, with prior experience as a Scientist at Recursion and as an Instructor and Postdoctoral Fellow at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where research focused on the molecular mechanisms of Autism and Parkinson’s disease. Abhishek has authored two peer-reviewed publications on autism-associated synaptic plasticity. Additional roles include Director of Internal and External Affairs for the Consulting Interest Group at Icahn School of Medicine, and a Business Development Fellow at Mount Sinai Innovation Partners, assessing intellectual property and supporting licensing initiatives. Postdoctoral research at Columbia University investigated Chemotherapy Induced Peripheral Neuropathy, and earlier research at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune, centered on the role of Formin-2 in cellular dynamics. Abhishek holds a Ph.D. in Cell Biology/Neurobiology and advanced degrees in Zoology from the University of Pune.
