Amy Garrett

Amy Garrett, DrPH, MA, ACRP-CP, is an experienced leader in public health and clinical research, currently serving as a Senior Consultant, Clinical Research & Rural Community Engagement with the North Carolina Community Health Center Association and as an Associate Director in Oncology Global Clinical Trial Operations at Merck. With over 20 years of experience, they have directed significant clinical trials, including the National Lung Cancer Screening Trial, and have co-founded the Office of Clinical and Translational Cancer Research at UNC Lineberger. As a first-generation college graduate from a rural background, they remain deeply committed to enhancing health equity for underrepresented populations while fostering patient-centered research initiatives. Their academic credentials include a BA in Psychology, an MA in Organizational Management, and ongoing doctoral studies in Public Health Leadership at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
