Avni Soni is an experienced professional with a strong background in compliance, risk management, and data protection. Currently serving as Associate Director of Compliance & Risk Management at Merck since September 2021, Avni has previously held key positions including Lead Data Protection/DLP Manager at CME Group and CVP Data Protection at New York Life Insurance Company. With a solid foundation in technology solutions architecture, data governance, and monitoring strategies, Avni's experience spans over two decades, including significant roles at IBM as an Infosphere Guardium Solution Architect and DBA for Optim Engineering, as well as software quality assurance positions at various organizations. Avni holds a BS in Bio-Chemistry from Gujarat University and M.G. Science.
