David Candito

David Candito is currently a Principal Scientist at Merck, where they continue to contribute to the fields of CNS drug discovery and immuno-oncology. They previously held the positions of Associate Principal Scientist and Senior Scientist in Medicinal Chemistry at the same company. David completed their doctoral studies in Organic Chemistry at the University of Toronto, where their research included pioneering work in palladium-catalyzed reactions and the synthesis of natural products. Earlier in their career, David was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Leibniz Universität Hannover, focusing on cancer treatment methodologies, and also worked as a Research Associate at York University.
