Diya Abdeljabbar

Diya Abdeljabbar, PhD, serves as Director of Vaccine Manufacturing & Commercialization at Merck, with a tenure beginning in September 2012. Key responsibilities include building a technology transfer organization and overseeing large-scale vaccine manufacturing processes. Previously, Diya held roles such as Director and Associate Director in End-to-End Vaccine Technology & Engineering, managing teams and technical support for viral vaccine production and process simulation. Diya's early career included positions at Princeton University as a researcher specializing in protein engineering and as an engineering intern at Merck. Diya holds a PhD and a Master’s degree in Chemical & Biological Engineering from Princeton University, a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology, and a certificate in Finance Essentials from Duke University.
