Dong Wang

Dong Wang, Ph.D., is currently the Associate Director of Real-world Data Analytics & Innovation at Merck, where they analyze treatment patterns and develop Natural Language Processing capabilities for various health-related projects. Previously, Dong served as an Associate Data Scientist Manager at IQVIA, designing and implementing over 15 machine learning models to enhance market access and rare disease detection. They began their academic journey at Dalian University of Technology, earning a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Construction Management, and later completed a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering/Disaster Management at the University of Delaware, where their research focused on disaster risk management and insurance. With a strong foundation in data science and engineering, Dong has made significant contributions to real-world evidence generation and predictive analytics.
