Emil Iqbal is currently an Associate Principal Scientist in Vaccines Analytical R&D at Merck. They previously served as an Engineering Specialist at Merck and held postdoctoral positions at SRI International and Virginia Commonwealth University, where they focused on cancer-targeting peptides and biophysical research, respectively. Emil also conducted mRNA display research at the University of Tokyo and participated in various teaching and research roles during their academic career. They were selected for the prestigious Richard T Clark Fellowship for Global Health, working on neglected tropical diseases in collaboration with the University of Dundee and partner universities in São Paulo, Brazil. Emil earned their degree from James Madison University.
