Gerard Bredael

Gerard Bredael is an experienced Associate Principal Scientist with a strong background in analytical sciences and a proven track record at prominent companies in the pharmaceutical industry. Since 2009, Gerard has worked at Merck, initially leading analytical efforts for life cycle management projects and mentoring junior scientists. Between 2012 and 2018, Gerard focused on preformulation studies including solubility, stability, and excipient compatibility analyses. Prior to Merck, Gerard held a similar position at Schering-Plough Research Institute, where contributions included establishing an IVIVC culture and leading life cycle management projects. Gerard's career began at Upjohn/Pharmacia/Pfizer, performing GMP release and stability analysis from 1988 to 2006. Gerard holds an M.S. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.
