Fritz Lekschas began their career in 2009 as an Intern at the Robert Koch Institute. In 2010, they became a Research Assistant at the Berlin-Brandenburg Center for Regenerative Therapies. In 2012, they were a Visiting Research Assistant at Seoul National University. In 2013, they were an Intern at Shin Nippon Biomedical Laboratories. In 2014, they were a Trainee at EMBL-EBI and a Visiting Research Assistant at the Center for iPS Cell Research and Application (CiRA). In 2015, they were a Visiting Postgrad Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School. From 2016 to 2018, they were a Research Assistant, Teaching Fellow, and Teaching Fellow at Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. In 2018, they were an Intern at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR). Since 2021, they have been the Head of Visualization Research and Research Scientist at Ozette Technologies.
Fritz Lekschas received a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Bioinformatics from Freie Universität Berlin in 2012, having studied there from 2009 to 2012. Fritz then went on to obtain a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Bioinformatics from Freie Universität Berlin in 2015. In 2016, they began studying at Harvard University, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science in 2021. During their studies, they also obtained certifications in Deep Learning Specialization, Sequence Models, Convolutional Neural Networks, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization, Neural Networks and Deep Learning, and Structuring Machine Learning Projects from Coursera in 2018.
