Jan Marquard

Jan Marquard currently serves as Associate Vice President of Clinical Development and Section Head of Metabolism at Merck since July 2025. Prior to this role, Jan held the position of Global Executive Medical Director for Clinical Development in Cardiology and Kidney Disease at Amgen from September 2024 to July 2025, and served as Global Head of Clinical Development & Operations for Cardio Renal Metabolic at Boehringer Ingelheim from June 2020 to August 2024, among other senior roles. Jan's earlier career included a postdoctoral researcher position and work as a Physician and Clinician Scientist at the University of Düsseldorf from 2007 to 2014, alongside participating in Global Leadership Development Programs at Duke University and IESE Business School.
