Michael Fredin

Michael Fredin is an experienced Crude Oil Trader at Mercuria Energy Trading S.A., specializing in Dated Brent trading since August 2016. Prior to this role, Michael served as a Middle Officer focused on Crude Oil Operations from January 2017 to June 2018, gaining expertise in BFOE and North Sea oil, as well as WAF grades and US imports. Michael's career began at Grant Thornton LLP, where a Senior Associate role in the Commodities, Derivative and Trading practice involved assisting clients with compliance and regulatory matters. Additionally, an earlier position as a Financial Management Associate involved supporting the Department of Homeland Security on audit remediation. Michael holds a Master’s degree in International Trading, Commodity Finance, and Shipping from the University of Geneva and a Bachelor of Science in Energy, Business, and Finance from Penn State University.
