Patrick Lathrop

Patrick Lathrop is an accomplished professional in the energy trading sector, currently serving as the Head of US Natural Gas and Managing Director at Mercuria Energy Trading S.A. since September 2020. Previously, Lathrop held various roles at Morgan Stanley from July 2016 to September 2020, including Executive Director and Vice President in Natural Gas Trading. Prior to that, Lathrop worked at Goldman Sachs from August 2010 to July 2016, also as a Vice President in Energy Trading, and as an Associate in Natural Gas Trading. Lathrop began a career in energy trading at Nexen Inc. as a Natural Gas Trader from May 2007 to August 2010. Lathrop holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance from the University of Calgary, obtained in 2007.
