Umair Maqsood has extensive work experience in various roles and positions. Umair started their career in 2003 as a Project Manager (Technical) at Electro Mechanical Company. From there, they moved on to work as a Software Engineer at ZTE中兴 Soft - ZTE中兴 Corp. China from December 2006 to May 2008. In 2008, they joined PTCL.Official as an Assistant Manager Information System and later became the Manager IT Demand and Planning from March 2011 to November 2013.
Umair then joined IBM in December 2013 as an Application Consultant and later took on the role of Sr. Application Consultant from January 2018 to May 2020. In 2020, they joined Mercurial Minds as the Director Business & Innovations and transitioned to the role of Director/Head of Global Digital Delivery Center (G-DDC) in January 2022. Umair's work at Mercurial Minds involved overseeing projects and responsibilities related to Autosphere.ai, UiPath.com, and AutomationAnywhere.
Throughout their career, Umair has gained significant experience in various domains, including project management, software engineering, IT demand, and planning.
Umair Maqsood completed their Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (B.E.E) with a focus on Advance Telecommunication, DSP, Micro Processor, and Electronics from the Usman Institute of Technology. Umair attended this institute from 1998 to 2002.
Prior to their bachelor's degree, Umair Maqsood completed their intermediate education in Pre-Engineering from Government College University, Faisalabad. Umair attended this college from 1994 to 1996.
Additionally, Umair Maqsood obtained a certification in Telecommunications Insights & Solutions (Silver) from IBM in July 2016.
