Melissa Xu

Melissa Xu is a skilled storyboard artist currently contributing to various development projects at Mercury Filmworks since 2024. Previously, from 2020 to 2023, Melissa worked on several notable projects, including "The Worm," an innovative viral YouTube horror short, and an upcoming Apple TV+ project. As a storyboard assistant supervisor for Netflix's "Hilda The Series" Season 3 and a storyboard artist for both "Interrupting Chicken" and the feature film "Hilda and The Mountain King," Melissa has demonstrated expertise in the animation industry. Prior experience includes roles as a storyboard revisionist for Netflix's "Hilda The Series" Season 2 and a 2D animator for Disney's "Tangled The Series." Melissa Xu earned an Associate of Arts degree in Animation, Interactive Technology, Video Graphics, and Special Effects from Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology between 2014 and 2017.
