Omair Tariq

Omair Tariq is currently a Venture Advisor at Mercury Fund. Omair has also worked as the Head of Finance, Strategy & Data Science at Global Custom Commerce / Blinds.com (a Home Depot company), and Manager - Manufacturing Finance at Farouk Systems.

Omair has played a key role in Home Depot's exit from Global Custom Commerce / Blinds.com, acting as lead from the seller side and managing all due diligence. Omair has also been instrumental in building Data Science and Analytics teams and capability from ground up, helping Blinds.com weaponize data and grow to >50% market share.

Omair Tariq has pursued a very successful academic career, earning a Master of Business Administration from Rice University, as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Houston / Downtown. Omair also holds an Advanced Level qualification in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge. In addition to their academic credentials, Omair Tariq is also certified by the Civil Aviation Authority as a Private Aircraft Pilot, and by Mensa International as a Mensa member.
