Joe Mace

Joe Mace is an experienced Technical Manager currently leading the Karapiro Rehabilitation Project at Mercury NZ since October 2018. With a notable tenure at Mighty River Power beginning in April 2009, Joe Mace has served in various roles, including RMU Technical Manager for the Whakamaru hydro power station, where responsibilities encompass overseeing technical aspects of equipment supply, tender evaluation, and performance testing. Previously, Joe Mace worked as a Senior Mechanical Engineer and a Mechanical Engineer, providing engineering support and mentorship within hydroelectric machine overhauls. Prior experience includes serving as a Mechanical Building Services Engineer at GDM Partnership, managing building services projects, and as a Technical Engineer at Holyoake Industries Ltd, focusing on air distribution product development. Joe Mace holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Canterbury, earned from 1992 to 1995.
