Brad Hargens

Brad Hargens has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Brad currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Mercy Care since February 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Vice President of Operations at Mercy Care from September 2014 till February 2022.

Before joining Mercy Care, Brad worked at Accenture for a significant period. During their time there, they held various senior management positions and worked with different clients. Brad was a Senior Manager, overseeing IT activities for the implementation of a large integrated Medicaid RBHA health plan. Brad also served as a Senior Project Manager for a pharmacy benefit management organization, leading a team in implementing solutions and strategies. Additionally, they worked as a Configuration Manager, managing the configuration of health plans' benefits. Brad also managed a Research and Development team, identifying cost containment opportunities. Moreover, they worked as an IT Consultant and provided analysis on claim platforms and fraud and abuse detection. Brad was also responsible for managing the mobilization of a team for a benefit coding project and developing a testing strategy for a pharmacy benefit management organization. Furthermore, they served as a Configuration and Claims Manager, overseeing the implementation and maintenance of a Medicare Advantage product line. Finally, they worked as a Business Analyst and Manager at Accenture, focusing on process redesign and claims optimization.

Before Accenture, Brad Hargens worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona as a Project and Group Services Manager, responsible for implementing new groups and developing detailed plans and procedures. Brad also served as a Support Services Supervisor.

With their extensive experience and diverse skill set, Brad Hargens has gained expertise in healthcare operations, project management, configuration, research and development, fraud detection, and process optimization.

Brad Hargens has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Supply Chain Management from Arizona State University, which they obtained from 1999 to 2001. Prior to this, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the same university between 1992 and 1996.
