Kimberly Merani is an accomplished educator and researcher with extensive experience in microbiology and genetics. Currently serving as a Clinical Lab Instructor and Senior Laboratory Associate at Mercy University since August 2021, Kimberly previously held roles as an Adjunct Professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine from August 2014 to March 2021, where responsibilities included facilitating courses on grant writing for graduate students. Earlier experiences feature tutoring middle and high school students while working as a Graduate Research Fellow at Varsity Tutors, as well as serving as a Teaching Assistant and Undergraduate Research Assistant at Binghamton University. Kimberly also contributed as a Volunteer Lab Technician at the American Museum of Natural History, utilizing molecular techniques for wildlife conservation research. Kimberly holds a PhD and an M.S. in Biomedical Sciences from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, along with a B.S. in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from Binghamton University.
