Samantha Verdell has a diverse range of work experience. Samantha started their career as a Math Teacher at Weakley County Schools, where they taught high school juniors and seniors subjects such as Calculus and Algebra II. Samantha then moved on to work as a Policy Analyst at the Charles Koch Institute, conducting research on various topics and specifically focusing on Idaho's healthcare system. Next, they worked as a Bilingual Nutrition Educator at the University of Tennessee, where they developed community relationships and provided nutritional programs to partner organizations in Davidson County. Currently, Samantha is working as a Care Navigator at Mercy Community Healthcare, where they assist clients with health insurance enrollment and connects patients to community resources. Samantha is responsible for outreach events and meetings to discuss operations. Throughout their career, Samantha has gained experience in teaching, research, community outreach, and healthcare.

Samantha Verdell attended Vanderbilt University from 2012 to 2016, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Health and Spanish.
