Steven Neely has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Steven began their career in 1996 as an Assistant Branch Manager at the National Bank of Commerce, where they demonstrated strong leadership skills and drove fiscal performance. In 2001, they transitioned to Youth Villages as a Transitional Living Specialist before moving on to roles at Welch College and Omni Community Health | LifeCare Family Services. At Omni Community Health, they held several positions, including Team Leader and Clinical Coordinator, where they provided treatment to patients with mental health and substance use disorders and supervised a team of therapists and case managers. In 2011, Steven joined Omni Visions as an Assistant Regional Director and later became the Clinical Services Director for the Mid TN Foster Care Division. In their most recent role at Mercy Community Healthcare, they served as the Behavioral Health Director, overseeing the therapeutic counseling department. Steven's work experience reflects a strong background in leadership, clinical therapy, and program coordination.
Steven Neely completed their education as follows. Steven obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology & Marketing from Western Kentucky University, where they attended from 1992 to 1996. Later, they pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Counseling from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, attending from 1998 to 2000.
In addition to their formal education, Steven Neely has obtained several certifications. In September 2020, they completed the Brainspotting Phase 1 certification at R. Cassidy Seminars, presented by Christine Ranck, Phd, LCSW and Cynthia Schwartzberg, LCSW. In February 2020, they received certification in Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) from Frances D. Booth, LCSW. Steven completed the Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, Part 1 and 2 certification from Frontier Health in April 2018, with John Paul Abner, PhD, Drew Burkley, PsyD, and Sara Scott, MS as presenters.
Furthermore, Steven Neely completed the EMDRIA Approved EMDR Basic Training at the Personal Transformation Institute in April 2017. In August 2014, they obtained certification in Risk Reduction Through Family Therapy (RRFT) from the National Child Traumatic Stress Network. In October 2013, they received certification in Integrated Treatment of Complex Trauma for Adolescents, also from the National Child Traumatic Stress Network. In August 2012, they completed 12 hours of continuing education in Clinical Supervision from the Tennessee Mental Health Counselor Association. In August 2011, they completed the Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy certification at The University of Tennessee, Health Science Center, Boling Center for Developmental Disabilities, Center of Excellence for Children in State Custody.
Steven Neely's education and certifications further demonstrate their commitment to professional development and their expertise in counseling. Additionally, they obtained a license as a Licensed Professional Counselor [Supervisor] from the Board for Professional Counselors, Marital and Family Therapists and Clinical Pastoral Therapists in December 2007. Most recently, in March 2021, they became a QPR Gatekeeper Instructor certified by the QPR Institute.
