Amy English

Amy English is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in agricultural and economic development, currently serving as Technical Director for the Americas Region at Mercy Corps since August 2003. In various roles at Mercy Corps, including Senior Technical Advisor and Senior Advisor for Agriculture Development and Social Ventures, Amy focuses on mentoring social enterprises, particularly in agriculture and technology for markets in Latin America and Africa. Prior experience includes work as an Account Manager at Marsh Inc., where responsibilities involved maintaining key client relationships in corporate insurance, and as an Agriculture Economist with the US Peace Corps, designing micro-enterprise projects and training farmers in business skills. Amy also held a position at the Interamerican Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture, where evaluations and recommendations contributed to agricultural development initiatives in Guyana. Academic credentials include an MBA in International Management from Portland State University and a B.S. in Agriculture Economics from the University of Vermont.
