Muhammad Tariq is an accomplished public health professional with extensive experience in tuberculosis control and disease surveillance. Currently serving as a Senior Technical Advisor at Mercy Corps since June 2019, Muhammad also holds the position of PPM Advisor for the World Health Organization from October 2022 to October 2024. Previously, Muhammad coordinated the TB-HIV Coinfection and Public Private Mix programs at GFATM in Pakistan while overseeing a team of over 100 field workers and managing significant budgets for tuberculosis control efforts. With an MPH in Public Health from the University of Peshawar and an MBBS from Rawalpindi Medical College, Muhammad's educational background complements a robust career dedicated to public health improvement.
