Sanije Shabanaj

Sanije Shabanaj is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in financial leadership roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as the MENA & Europe Interim Regional Finance Director and Financial Director at Mercy Corps since February 2022, Sanije has previously held the position of Director of Operational Excellence at UBT - University for Business and Technology from February 2019 to January 2022. Sanije also has a long tenure at Mercy Corps, where the role of Director of Finance and Compliance was held from October 2005 to February 2019. Prior experience includes working as a Finance Controller at the International Rescue Committee from October 1999 to 2005.
