Melissa Garcia

Melissa Garcia currently serves as the Land Fund Director at Mercy Housing, a position held since November 2021. Prior experience includes roles at the Low Income Investment Fund as a Senior Advisor and various leadership positions overseeing national lending initiatives and regional operations from March 2012 to October 2021. Garcia's earlier career highlights include serving as Vice President at Citi from March 2007 to February 2012 and as a Senior Consultant at Seifel Consulting Inc from September 2004 to March 2007. Additional experience includes a fellowship at the Mayor's Office in the City of Chicago and an assistant position at The Fresh Air Fund. Academically, Garcia holds a Master in Public Policy and Urban Planning from the Harvard Kennedy School and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Yale University.
