Mandy Nelson DNP, APRN, NE-BC is a senior nursing leader with extensive experience in various critical care settings and nursing operations. Currently serving as the Director of Nursing Operations at Mercy since January 2023, Mandy partners with system nursing executives to enhance nursing care services and support organizational goals. Previously, as Director at OU Health, from October 2018 to January 2023, Mandy managed multiple departments, focusing on performance improvement through data analysis. Prior roles include Clinical Nurse Specialist for both medicine and neurosciences at OU Health, where Mandy successfully implemented quality improvement plans and nursing practices. Earlier career experience includes critical care nursing at Oklahoma Heart Hospital and supervisory roles at Mercy Health Center. Mandy holds a Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Healthcare Systems Leadership from Chamberlain University and multiple nursing degrees from various institutions.
