Amanda Marquez has a diverse work experience in the field of support and coordination roles. Amanda currently works as a Disability Family and Community Services Area Coordinator at MercyCare since April 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Blue Cove Group where they held multiple roles including Senior NDIS Coordinator, Team Leader, and Support Worker from September 2021 to April 2023. From 2019 to 2020, they worked as a Support Worker at New Chapters New Beginnings. Earlier, in 2019, they worked as an Educator after school at Junior Adventures Group where they focused on developing and implementing activities plans for language arts, science, cooking, and sports. Amanda also had a similar role at Alphabeta OOSH from 2018 to 2019. Amanda's experience showcases their strong abilities in support work, coordination, and educational activities.
Amanda Marquez has a diverse educational background in the fields of community services, human resources, and psychology. Amanda completed a Diploma in Community Services with a specialization in Family and Community Services from Stott's College from 2019 to 2022. Prior to this, from 2016 to 2018, Amanda obtained a Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Human Resources Development from the Australian Pacific College.
Their academic journey began in 2005 when they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Fundación Universitaria Los Libertadores, completing it in 2011. Amanda has also acquired various certifications throughout their career. For instance, in 2023, they obtained the "Being Trauma Responsive" certification from the Western Australian Association for Mental Health. In 2022, they obtained certifications such as "ACWA Register Full Membership" from the Australian Community Workers Association (ACWA), "Safe Professional Boundaries" from the Western Australian Association for Mental Health, "Introduction to Epilepsy for Disability Sector Workers 2021" from the Epilepsy Foundation, "Preventing Dementia 2022" and "Understanding Traumatic Brain Injury 2022" from the University of Tasmania, and "Medication Management" from the National Disability Services.
Furthermore, Amanda has completed the "Working With Childrens Check" certification from the Department of Communities WA in 2021. Notably, in 2018, they obtained "The Voices of Autism" certification from Torrens University Australia, showcasing their dedication to professional development in their field.
