Gil Feig

Gil Feig is the Co-Founder at Merge. Prior to this, they were the Head of Engineering at Canvas from May 2018 to June 2020. In this role, they led and developed the Django backend architecture and API in Python, as well as built comprehensive Greenhouse and Lever (ATS) API integrations with automated 2-way syncing. Additionally, Gil managed a team of ~15 engineers and was responsible for hiring, task prioritization, customer security reviews, SOC2 certification, vendors, Looker data visualizations, and annual penetration testing.

Before Canvas, Gil was a software engineer at Wealthfront from September 2017 to April 2018. Here, they built the Wealthfront iOS app in Swift and Objective-C, and created a framework for recursive layout testing for common issues like overlap and truncated labels. Gil also architected and built ModularView, used for rapid view development on screens throughout the financial planning experience.

Gil's career began as an iOS Software Engineer at Oyster Inc. from January 2014 to December 2014. Gil then transitioned to LinkedIn where they spent two years as a Senior Software Engineer from July 2015 to September 2017.

Gil Feig received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Columbia University in the City of New York.
