Olivier Vernin

Olivier Vernin has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Olivier started their career at Datavance as a Software Engineer, where they successfully developed web and mobile phone community services for end-user trials. Olivier then moved on to FranceTelecom R&D UK Ltd, where they excelled as a Lead Software Engineer, defining team contributions and designing functional and technical specifications.

In 2008, Olivier joined PasserellesNumériques as a Project Manager, where they designed and implemented a vocational degree in Web Programming. Olivier built a team of local teachers and introduced hands-on evaluations involving local ICT companies. Olivier later transitioned to the role of Pedagogy and eLearning Project Manager, leading a community of practice of 25 teachers, defining the teaching strategy, and exploring eLearning opportunities.

Olivier's next venture was at TTC - Mobile solutions for social change, where they became a Lead Software Engineer. Olivier designed, implemented, deployed, and maintained key software tools for the organization. Olivier also set up a team, cloud-based architecture, and development processes to minimize costs and align with business needs.

Since 2016, Olivier has been working at Meridia, initially as a Lead Software Engineer. Olivier architected and designed a software solution used as a backbone for Meridia's business, recruited and led a remote team, and presented and demoed the solution to surveying businesses and government officials across Western Africa. Currently, Olivier serves as the Head of Product at Meridia, taking the company's software to the next level by making a B2B product for local licensed surveyors in West Africa. Olivier leads the technical evolutions of the solution, analyzes business needs, and oversees deployment.
