Mark Fonda has over 40 years of work experience in the energy and refining industry. Mark'smost recent role was as the Chief Technology Officer & Executive Vice President of Engineering at Meridian Energy Group, Inc. where they directed internal engineering activities for the design of a greenfield refinery in North Dakota. Mark also managed the interface with outside technology licensors and other engineering resources while planning for future refineries in West Texas and Oklahoma.

Prior to that, they served as the Plant Manager at CH2E, overseeing the operations, maintenance, and engineering of the largest waste tire reprocessing facility in North America. Mark also managed a team at Greyrock Energy, Inc. as the Director of Plant Operations, where they commissioned a new Integrated BioRefinery.

Earlier in their career, they worked at Jacobs as the Lead Process Engineer, providing engineering and operational support for refinery clients such as BP, Conoco-Phillips, and Valero. Mark was also the Technical Services Manager at Sunoco Refining & Marketing and the Director of Engineering Services at Coastal Refining Co.

Before that, they held management positions at Hess Corporation, Golden West Refining Co., Ultramar, and Mobil Oil, where they gained experience in various aspects of refinery operations and project engineering.

Mark Fonda pursued their education by attending the University of Pennsylvania from 1974 to 1978. During this time, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. After a significant period, Mark decided to further their education and enrolled in Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business in 2001. Mark successfully obtained their Masters degree in Business Administration in 2002.
