Cormac McBride

Cormac McBride has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Their most recent position was as a Contracts Manager (Generation Business Improvement) at Meridian Energy since October 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Board Member at CILT NZ since October 2011, where they provided strong and visible leadership to a team of 12 senior and chief executives. Cormac has also held the role of Procurement Manager at KiwiRail from March 2019 to October 2022, managing staff and vendor relationships for high-value contracts. As the Managing Director of MBC Consulting Ltd from April 2017 to March 2019, they led subcontracted subject matter expert teams in projects across various technical disciplines. Cormac has also served as a Member of the Board of Directors at Intelligent Transport Systems New Zealand (ITSNZ) from June 2011 to October 2017, contributing to the strategy and growth of the organization. Additionally, they have experience as a Sector Leader ITS/Strategist at Traffic Design Group (TDG) from April 2010 to May 2017, where they engaged in strategic level relationship management and intelligent transport systems. Cormac began their career as a Senior Consultant at Hyder Consulting from May 2008 to March 2010 and as a Senior Business Analyst/Senior Intelligence Analyst at NZ Transport Agency from January 2006 to May 2008. Cormac also worked as a Service Analyst at TelstraClear from May 2004 to December 2005, where they provided ICT administration and technical support for corporate clients. Overall, Cormac has demonstrated expertise in contract management, procurement, strategic advisory, and leadership roles in the transportation and ICT sectors.

Cormac McBride completed their Bachelor of Business Studies with a focus on Information Systems from Massey University from 2000 to 2008. In 2019, they pursued a Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety at the Southern Institute of Technology.
