Matthew Shanks

Matthew Shanks has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting. Matthew began their career as a Senior Accountant at Deloitte Christchurch in 2005, where they worked until 2008. Matthew then joined Deloitte Cayman Islands as a Senior Accountant from 2008 to 2010. Following this, they worked as a Commercial Manager at Greymouth Petroleum from 2010 to 2011. Since 2011, Matthew has been with Meridian Energy, where they have held various roles including Reconciliation and Settlements Manager, Finance Manager (Retail), and currently Finance & Portfolio Manager.

Matthew Shanks attended the University of Otago from 2000 to 2005. During this time, they pursued and successfully obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree. Matthew'sfields of study included Accounting and Information Technology (IT).
