Jared Weight

Jared Weight is currently the Golf & Grounds Superintendent at Meridian Hills Country Club. Prior to this, they served as President of Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity from September 2019 to December 2021. In this role, they recruited, interviewed, and developed 50 Orientation Leaders and 130 First-Year Seminar Mentors. Jared also supported the Director and Assistant Director with the design and daily operations of orientation programming that served over 6,000 students and guests per year. In addition, they compiled data from all orientation programs to determine retention statistics related to orientation programming, further specified the data to IUPUI’s 18 individual undergraduate colleges. Jared has also presented on best practices in orientation and student mentoring at the National Orientation Director's Association conference at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario and IUPUI's National Mentoring Symposium in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Jared Weight also served as the OTEAM Summer Orientation Coordinator & First Year Seminar Mentor at IUPUI from April 2019 to January 2022. In this role, they restructured the team's training and leadership development program from 160 hours to 120 hours. Jared also collaborated with IUPUI faculty, staff, and student mentors to ensure that IUPUI's first-year student population transitions effectively through the mandatory First-Year Seminar course.

Jared Weight has a Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Marketing Management, General from Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis and an Academic Honors Diploma from Lake Central High School. Jared also has certifications from HubSpot in Hubspot Content Marketing, Indiana University - Kelley School of Business in Bachelor of Science in Business, Hootsuite in Hootsuite Marketing Platform Certification, Google in Google Analytics, and Semrush in SEMRush Marketing.

They are on a team with Todd Firestone - Head Golf Professional, Maria Perillo - Dining Room Manager, and Kayla Vanhoosier - Banquets Manager. Jared Weight reports to Megan Christman, Clubhouse Manager.
