Sara Schmidt

Sara Schmidt is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in mediation, communications, and conservation strategies. Currently serving as a Mediator and Program Associate at Meridian Institute since March 2023, Sara previously held multiple roles at Blackfoot Challenge from October 2012 to June 2022, including Communications Manager and Outreach, Education & Conservation Strategies Coordinator. Prior to that, Sara contributed as an Americorps Volunteer with Montana Conservation Corps from September 2011 to October 2012. Additional experience includes serving as a waitress at Trawen and teaching ESL at English Opens Doors. Sara holds a Master of Science in Resource Conservation and a Certificate in Natural Resources Conflict Resolution from the University of Montana, along with a Bachelor of Science in Conservation and Resource Studies from the University of California, Berkeley.
