Academic Interventionist at Meridian Public Schools

Lisa Brookins is an experienced educator, currently serving as an Academic Interventionist at Meridian Public Schools since July 2021, focusing on utilizing technology and small group activities to address learning gaps and enhance testing skills. Previously, Lisa fulfilled dual roles as a Teacher for English grades 7-12 at Meridian Public Schools-MHS and taught 10th and 11th grade English at Lauderdale County School District from August 2015 to January 2022. Additional teaching experience includes a position at Jackson Public Schools from August 2011 to May 2012. Lisa holds a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from Alcorn State University and a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Adolescent Reading from Concordia University-Portland.
