Brandon Smith

Brandon Smith, CUDE, has a strong background in the financial industry. Brandon currently holds the position of Chief Financial Officer at Meridian Trust Federal Credit Union, where they have been since February 2024. Prior to this, they worked as the Vice President of Strategy at UniWyo Credit Union from June 2023 to January 2024. Before joining UniWyo, Brandon served as the Interim CEO at Reliant Federal Credit Union from January 2023 to June 2023, and prior to that, they were the Chief Financial Officer at the same company from March 2009 to December 2022. Brandon'swork experience also includes a role as a Sales Agent at Covenant Insurance Group from September 2007 to March 2009. Early in their career, Brandon worked as a Financial Analyst at Melaleuca from August 2005 to September 2007 and as an International Forecaster from February 2004 to August 2005, where they achieved significant accomplishments such as reducing critical inventory, eliminating expedited shipments, cutting forecast variances, and avoiding scrap costs.

Brandon Smith, CUDE, obtained a B.S. in Business Administration and Spanish from the University of Wyoming in 2003. Brandon also obtained certifications as a Credit Union Development Educator from the National Credit Union Foundation in 2022 and as a Certified Credit Union Executive from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2013. In addition to their formal education, they have completed various training programs and institutes in investments, data transformation, and financial management.
