Meridian World School
Charlotte Wallace is an experienced professional educator currently teaching 3rd grade at Meridian World School since March 2019. With a strong background in early childhood education, Charlotte has previously held positions as a Child Development Center Instructor at The Hockaday School and as a 2018 Corps Member with Teach For America, where participation involved teaching in under-resourced public schools while pursuing a Master's degree in Education. Additional experiences include an Early Learners Intern role at Thinkery, where curriculum implementation focused on STEAM and school readiness, and classroom management at Priscilla Pond Flawn Child and Family Laboratory. Charlotte also possesses leadership experience as a Camp Sweeney Leadership Counselor, trained in diabetes care. This educational expertise is grounded in a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from The University of Texas at Austin.
Meridian World School
Meridian World School is a public, K-12, tuition-free charter school. We are located in Round Rock, Texas. Open to all students who live within the boundaries of Williamson County in Central Texas. Meridian is an authorized school for the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), and the Diploma Programme (DP). Our Mission Statement (below) is directly tied to our belief in the International Baccalaureate Learner Profile. Meridian School's current enrollment is almost 1700 students. Mission Statement: Meridian School will provide an invigorating educational environment that develops responsible citizens who can artfully navigate our complex world and enjoy a good life with others. Each student will engage in diverse investigations, disciplined inquiry, and integrated service-learning to cultivate intercultural awareness, creativity, and mental acuity.
