Monica Floyd

Monica Floyd is the current Associate Program Director at Merit America. Monica has previous experience as the DC Program Director at StreetWise Partners from March 2018 to June 2022. In this role, they managed all StreetWise Partners programming in Washington, DC. This included supervising regional program managers and community partnerships with 50+ local nonprofits, community colleges, and government agencies. Monica also oversaw two program sites with 350+ volunteers and 150+ participants annually. In addition, they led the DC Volunteer Leadership Board in engagement and fundraising efforts. Furthermore, they developed and maintained relationships with 20+ corporate partners in the region. Monica also executed special events and days of service for corporate groups, both virtually and in-person. Lastly, they established intern program in coordination with the Koch Internship Program; supervised intern(s) and provided professional development training.

In addition to their work with StreetWise Partners, Monica Floyd also served on the Social Justice Committee. In this role, they spearhead an effort to strategically diversify candidate pipeline and identified topics for staff trainings. Monica also supported executing a series of social justice trainings for staff and managers. Lastly, they supported additional initiatives including an audit of organization's language, initiatives to build stronger relationships with the Black community in DC, Detroit, and NYC, and measuring inclusion.

Lastly, Monica Floyd oversaw data strategy and collection for all three regions at StreetWise Partners. Monica also supported implementation of Salesforce NPSP.

Monica Floyd's educational career includes a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from American University, as well as working in the Office of International Cooperation at National Chengchi University.
