Tymerra Coleman

Tymerra joins Merit America as the Manager of Program Equity. She first gained an interest in education and equity work as an undergraduate at Texas Christian University where she studied Comparative Race and Ethnic Studies. There Tymerra was able to take courses, conduct research, and attend conferences that focused on social justice. Fueling her passion for learning, she decided to pursue an M.A. in Multicultural Women’s and Gender Studies.

Tymerra began her professional career as an admissions counselor at Texas Woman’s University, then served as a Program Specialist at Girls Inc. In both of these roles she developed and implemented programs to support marginalized students as they navigated the education system. She is excited to continue this work in her new role at Merit! In her free time she loves to write, be outdoors, and spend time with her loved ones.
