Ian Taws

Ian Taws is currently working as a VDC Lead Piping Author at Merit since November 2012 and as an Air Specialist (Class 1) Mechanical Transport at Royal Air Force Reserve since November 2018. In the past, Ian has held roles such as Company Director at SunTyne Solar, Piping Supervisor at AMEC, and Field Engineer at Fabricom GTI. Ian has extensive experience in field engineering, inspection, commissioning, and supervisory roles, with a background in piping and mechanical estimating. Ian also worked as a Field Engineer at Vetco Gray Scandinavia AS and Swan Hunter, and as a Piping Supervisor at AMEC OFFSHORE SERVICES LIMITED. Ian received their education from Blyth Tynedale High School.
