Justin Derby

Justin Derby has extensive experience in land acquisition, planning, and environmental management, currently serving as Vice President of Acquisitions & Forward Planning for Meritage Homes and Vice President of MLC Holdings in Northern California since March 2015. In these roles, Justin focuses on entitling raw land and master plans for future Meritage Communities. Additionally, Justin serves as a Planning Commissioner for the City of Novato. Prior experience includes project management at WRA Environmental Consultants, where Justin handled regulatory entitlements for large development projects, and a greenfield development role at Infinity Wind Power. Justin's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Environmental Science and Management from the Bren School at UC Santa Barbara and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from UC San Diego.
