Çağla Derse Yayla has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Çağla started their career in 2010 as a Long Term Internship in the Audit Department at Deloitte & Touche. In 2011, they joined BOTAş as an Assistant Specialist, specializing in Financial & Contractual Analysis. After that, they worked at HAVELSAN as a Strategic Analysis and Planning Expert and Budget Planning Expert. In 2015, they joined Enerji Piyasaları İşletme Anonim Şirketi (EPİAŞ) as a Market Monitoring/Surveillance Expert, and later became the Unit Manager of Market Surveillance. From 2016 to 2019, they served as the Risk, Strategy and Market Intelligence Manager at RWE AG. In 2019, they joined BP as a Strategy Advisor for Fuels in Turkey, Austria, and Switzerland. Çağla also held the position of Head of Strategic Planning at Strategy & Business Development at Merkezi Kayıt Kuruluşu A.Ş. (MKK) from 2019 to 2020. Currently, they are the Chief Expert at Trade Repository Operations (Team Lead) at MKK. Overall, Çağla Derse Yayla has demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, risk management, market intelligence, and financial analysis throughout their career.

Çağla Derse Yayla has a diverse educational background. Çağla started their education journey by obtaining a High School Diploma in Science and Math from Bursa Anatolian High School in the years 1997 to 2004. Çağla then pursued a BSc in Business Administration from Middle East Technical University (Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi) and successfully completed it from 2004 to 2009.

In 2008, Çağla took part in an Erasmus program at Tilburg University, where they studied Economics and Business Administration for a year. This experience provided their with an international perspective and valuable knowledge in their field.

Motivated to further enhance their expertise, Çağla pursued a Master of Science (Msc) degree in Financial Analysis and Fund Management from the prestigious University of Exeter Business School. Çağla completed this program from 2010 to 2011, specializing in the financial aspects of their domain.

Çağla continued their educational journey by pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Finance, General at Middle East Technical University. Çağla started their PhD program in 2013 and is currently working towards their doctorate, specializing in the field of finance.

In addition to their academic pursuits, Çağla also acquired data science skills with Python implementation through a certificate program at Özyeğin University in 2020. This program allowed their to gain expertise in data science and further expand their capabilities.
