Akshay G.

Akshay G. has been working in the field of data engineering since 2018. Akshay began their career as a Senior Data Engineer at Testbook.com, where they utilized Apache Airflow for ETL and automation tasks, Apache Spark framework in Google's Dataproc, and Django for creating backend REST API's for intelligence/personalised service. Akshay also acted as an Analyst, providing key actionable insights for product development, setting up real time reporting dashboards using Redash from MongoDB, BigQuery, and MySQL databases, and performing various adhoc analysis using Python. In 2017, they were an MITACS Globalink Research Intern at Dalhousie University, Canada, where they designed and fabricated a two point conductivity based measurement device to determine the volume fraction and bubble velocity for multi-phase flows. Akshay also used a high speed camera to validate the electrical data and automated the process using macros in ImageJ, Excel, and MATLAB. Akshay G. also held two Head positions at Guwahati Half Marathon and Wake Up And Vote, a social initiative taken up by Techniche, IIT Guwahati. Akshay is currently a Senior Data Engineer at Merkle Science.

Akshay G. attended Little World School, Jabalpur from 2006 to 2013, where they completed their Senior Secondary School with a focus on Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and Informatics Practices. Akshay then went on to attend the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati from 2014 to 2018, where they earned a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Chemical Engineering.
