Nirmal AK has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. In 2012, they began working as a Fraud Sciences at PayPal. In 2015, they became a Data Scientist at Instamojo. In 2018, they were appointed Chief Technology Officer at Merkle Science and also became a Founder in Residence at Entrepreneur First, Singapore. At Entrepreneur First, they were responsible for helping tech graduates and those already working in technology firms to design and run their own startups.

Nirmal AK attended the National Public School, Rajajinagar, Bangalore from 1996 to 2008, where they studied Computer Science. Nirmal then attended the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Mechanical Engineering.
