Aleksandr Kapitonov has a diverse work experience in various technology-related roles. Aleksandr served as the Chief Technology Officer at MerkleBot, where they implemented a data-driven approach for industrial equipment, making it available to small and medium-sized businesses. Prior to that, they worked at ITMO University, where they held multiple roles, including Dean of Faculty and Associate Professor. At ITMO University, they focused on subjects such as control theory education, robust control for nonlinear systems, and heterogeneous network solutions. Aleksandr also worked at Airalab as a progressor for the Robot Economics Academic Society, where they developed a standard for economic interaction between humans and robots. Lastly, they served as the CEO of Drone Employee, a company specializing in drone technology, for a period of four years.

Aleksandr Kapitonov completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Automation, Control, and Information Processing Technology from ITMO University in the years 2005 to 2009. Following this, they pursued a Master of Engineering degree in Engineering Systems Control at the same institution from 2009 to 2011. Aleksandr then continued their education at ITMO University, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Industrial Technology/Technician from 2011 to 2014. During this period, they also achieved a second Doctor of Philosophy degree in System Analysis, Control, and Information Processing.
