Karen Linda has over 25 years of work experience in the aerospace industry. Karen began their career in 1996 as an Engineering Intern/Engineer I at Boeing Commercial Airplanes. From 2000 to 2018, they worked at Honeywell Aerospace in various roles, including Principal Lead Systems and Flight Test Engineer, Senior Systems Engineer, and Flight Controls Design Engineer. In 2018, they took on a Contract Engineer role through Performance Software Inc. at BAE Systems. Most recently, they have been the Flight Controls Team Lead at Merlin Labs since 2021.

Karen Linda has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Arizona State University, where they studied Aerospace Engineering from 1993 to 1997. Karen then went on to earn their Master's Degree in Aerodynamics and Controls from the same university from 1997 to 2000. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications from the Federal Aviation Administration, including a Commercial Drone Pilot in February 2018, a Commercial Pilot, Airplane Multi-engine Land in February 2012, an Instrument Rating in June 2006, a Private Pilot, Airplane Single Engine Land in November 2005, and a Six Sigma/DFSS from Honeywell Aerospace in February 2004.
